OUR STORY
A Plus Transmission & Auto Repair is a family owned business with deep roots in both the transmission and auto repair industry and the Brighton, MI community. Our story begins in 1954 when our grandfather, Thomas, began working at the Detroit Ford Motor Company Transmission plant. From that year forward, for over four generations, transmission and auto repair has been in our blood! In 1968 our family settled in the Brighton, MI community and from 1971 to 1988, owned and operated M&F Auto Service and A Plus Transmissions in the Detroit Metropolitan area. After many long commutes and the love for the Brighton area and community we decided to build a business close to home so that we could serve the people who had become our family and friends. We opened our repair center in Brighton back in 1988 and we have never looked back!
Currently, the third and fourth generations of our family are working hard to carry on our family’s reputation of integrity and the highest Christian business ethics.
